In the second day of witness statements in the oral trial over the disappearance of Loan Danilo Peña, his parents testified before the federal court in Corrientes. José Peña recounted the events of 13 June 2024 and pointed to nervous behavior by his sister Laudelina Peña and Antonio Bernardino Benítez.

María Noguera broke down emotionally while recalling the last words she said to her son and demanded direct answers. She told Laudelina: “Que nos diga dónde está Loan y de dónde sacó el botín”. She also stated that Laudelina and Carlos Pérez know who the child is with.

The accused in the main case are Laudelina Peña, Antonio Bernardino Benítez, Walter Maciel, María Victoria Caillava, Carlos Pérez, Mónica del Carmen Millapi and Daniel Ramírez. The hearing was adjourned until Wednesday.
