Meccha Chameleon draws 300000 players on Steam

Meccha Chameleon, a new online multiplayer game, reached over 300000 concurrent players on Steam during a recent afternoon.

The game, developed by what appears to be two people, sets hunters armed with shotguns against larger groups of hiders. Players use a painting tool to camouflage their characters on various maps, earning points only when visible in a hunter's line of sight.

Hiders can continue painting and moving even after hunters enter the map. This differs from typical prop hunt modes, where players remain still after selecting a disguise.

Matches have encountered technical issues including lobby freezes, players falling into voids, and occasional clipping through level geometry. The title is available on Steam for six dollars.
