Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (Dr.) inaugurated the modern Hamasa model village on Sene 25 as part of rural corridor development.
Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (Dr.) said in Addis Ababa that development works being carried out in various areas have the capacity to take Ethiopia to the height we envision.
The rural corridor development works enable local farmers to enjoy a better life, he stated. Last year the government built model houses in different places while this year residents in many areas including West Abaya are constructing them entirely at their own expense.
The Prime Minister noted that the government only provides training and support while the full cost is covered by the local farmers. Farmers are benefiting by producing vegetables, fruits, honey, fish, chicken and animal products in their backyards.
If there is hygiene and food there is health, he said, adding that these issues deserve high attention. Farmers must strengthen the good start they have made, he stressed.
