Square Enix adds option to mute fairy in Elliot game

Square Enix has released an update for The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales that allows players to turn off the voice of the fairy companion Faie.

The update, pushed to Steam on July 10, adds an option to disable support character voices entirely. This follows player feedback after the game's demo and launch, where many found Faie's constant dialogue too frequent.

Previously the game included a Partner Chattiness setting with a Reticent option, but that did not fully address complaints. Producer Naofumi Matsushita noted the team's attachment to the character during development.

The change gives players more control over the experience. Those who prefer quieter gameplay can now download the update to silence Faie while retaining other features.
