In Kudwar, 20-year-old Mahendra Tiwari died when a power pole fell on him. In Baldeeray, eight-year-old Mahima was killed by falling bricks, and 58-year-old Rambaren died under a tree, with his wife Shyamlali seriously injured. In Haliyapur, 35-year-old Rita died when a wall collapsed. In Akhandnagar, eight-year-old Sureman was killed on the spot, while his brothers Vikas (16) and Kishan (11) were badly hurt. In Bandhuakala, 40-year-old Sushma Gupta died under a falling jamun tree, and in Kurebhar, 70-year-old Kevla Devi perished in a wall collapse.
Trees, walls, and power poles fell across several police station areas. A toll plaza on the 80-km Purvanchal Expressway was damaged, disrupting traffic for hours. In Dubepur, a neem tree collapsed on Munni Lal Kori's house, injuring his wife Dhana and daughter Sunaina.
District Magistrate Indrajeet Singh expressed grief and directed officials to provide aid from the State Disaster Response Fund within 24 hours. Revenue and medical teams are assessing the damage. The administration has appealed to residents to heed weather warnings.
