Titan Egypt signs power purchase deal for 11.45 MW solar plant

Titan Egypt has announced the signing of a long-term power purchase agreement with SolarizEgypt to build an 11.45 MW solar power plant for Beni Suef Cement Company.

The 25-year agreement assigns SolarizEgypt responsibility for the development, financing, construction, ownership, operation and maintenance of the plant. It will supply Beni Suef Cement Company with stable renewable electricity without requiring direct capital investment from the cement firm.

Amr Reda, CEO of Titan Egypt, said the agreement marks a new milestone in the company’s journey toward a more sustainable and efficient industry. He noted that the partnership supports efforts to reduce carbon emissions.

Mohamed El-Fouly, chief commercial officer at SolarizEgypt, said the deal serves as a successful model of cooperation between the industrial and clean energy sectors and backs Egypt’s push for a more sustainable future.
