Alabama man gets life sentence for hammer attack on ex

Latarius Dale was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole for a February 2025 claw hammer attack on his ex-girlfriend in Alabama. The Houston County jury convicted him of first-degree domestic violence last week.

Dale broke into Brittany Moulton's home in Lovetown after she blocked all contact following their November 2024 breakup. He struck her more than two dozen times in the face, head and chest, leaving her unconscious with a metal plate in her skull and permanent blindness in her right eye.
