Andrew Agozzino hired as assistant coach in Tucson

The Utah Mammoth have hired Andrew Agozzino as an assistant coach with the Tucson Roadrunners. Agozzino, who retired earlier this week, joins head coach Steve Potvin’s staff.

The Utah Mammoth announced the hiring of Andrew Agozzino to replace Zack Stortini. Stortini departed last month to become head coach of New Mexico in the ECHL.

Agozzino played 847 regular-season games over 14 years in the American Hockey League. He ranks 29th on the league’s all-time list and sits among the top 50 in goals, assists and points.

Agozzino recorded eight 20-goal seasons and appeared in the AHL All-Star Classic in 2013 and 2019.
