Balenciaga launches Radar sneaker with minimalist design

Balenciaga has released the Radar Sneaker, a new silhouette that combines elements of a high-performance track shoe and a ballerina flat. Priced at $950 USD, it is available now directly from Balenciaga. The design emphasizes agility, comfort, and a sleek profile under Pierpaolo Piccioli’s creative direction.

Balenciaga unveiled the Radar Sneaker on March 16, 2026, marking a shift from its previous chunky “dad shoe” style toward a more streamlined aesthetic. Described as a “radical hybrid,” the sneaker merges the technical features of a track shoe with the elegance of a ballerina flat, focusing on responsiveness and modern minimalism. Its upper features breathable mesh layered with faux-leather overlays, a low-profile scooped-out throat, and a “reductive” design that hugs the foot closely, balancing athletic elements with grace. A double lacing system secures the entire upper, while details include a debossed 3B sport logo on the toe box and Balenciaga’s signature exposed shoe size on the heel. Color options span grayscale black and grey, purple, pink, white, and gradient silver-blue mixes, all with a smooth, lightweight finish. The outsole incorporates curled grip detailing for traction and a sculptural look. With an MSRP of $950 USD, the Radar Sneaker is available for purchase on Balenciaga’s website.
