WWE Women's Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch has shared her anxiety about informing then-chairman Vince McMahon of her pregnancy in early 2020.
Lynch described the call as more nerve-wracking than any wrestling match, including her WrestleMania 35 main event. She worried the news might jeopardize opportunities for women in the company after McMahon had supported their rise to the top.
McMahon responded with congratulations for Lynch and her partner Seth Rollins. He also offered her whatever time off she required, which Lynch viewed as confirmation that WWE valued family matters.
The revelation came during an interview on Giovanna Fletcher's Happy Mum podcast. Lynch said the positive reaction eased her concerns about balancing career and personal life.
