The BJP has appointed Bihar cabinet minister Nitin Nabin as its national working president. He arrived in Delhi on December 15, 2025, receiving a grand welcome at the party headquarters. This appointment is part of the party's major organizational change.

The BJP has named Bihar's road construction minister Nitin Nabin Prasad Sinha as its national working president, signaling a major organizational shift in the party's top management. Born in Patna in 1980, Nabin began his political journey with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and was first elected as an MLA in 2000. He is a five-time MLA from Patna's Bankipur assembly constituency, where he defeated Rashtriya Janata Dal's Rekha Kumari by over 51,000 votes in the recent Bihar elections.

Before departing for Delhi on December 15, 2025, Nabin offered prayers at Patna's Mahavir Temple and paid tribute to his late father at Sw. Nabin Kishore Sinha Park. He arrived at IGI Airport's Terminal 2 at 10 AM, where Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and the seven BJP MPs from the national capital welcomed him.

The appointment comes a month after the NDA's victory in the Bihar assembly elections, with BJP securing 89 seats and JD(U) 85. Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated him on X: 'Nitin Nabin is a young and hardworking leader with extensive organizational experience. His work as an MLA and minister in Bihar has been highly effective, and he has worked with full dedication to fulfill the aspirations of the people.'

At 45, Nabin is the youngest national working president. His father, Nabin Kishore Sinha, was a Jan Sangh leader and MLA. Nabin remarked, 'A small worker has been given a huge responsibility.' This move highlights a generational shift, emphasizing young leaders with strong grassroots roots.

Cosa dice la gente

Reactions on X to Nitin Nabin's appointment as BJP national working president and his arrival in Delhi are mostly positive from BJP affiliates and neutral news reports, emphasizing his youth, dedication, and grand welcome. News clips show his departure from Patna and prayers. Limited skepticism questions party leadership delays and his family background.
