Dropout's actual-play series Dimension 20 will launch its next main campaign, City Council of Darkness, using the Vampire: The Masquerade tabletop RPG system. The season premieres on April 8 on Dropout, featuring the show's core cast. This marks a significant departure from the series' usual Dungeons & Dragons focus.
Dimension 20, Dropout's popular actual-play series, announced City Council of Darkness last week as its upcoming mainline campaign. The show, which has produced 27 campaigns to date, primarily uses Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition. Side quests have experimented with systems like Kids on Bikes, Kids on Brooms, Never Stop Blowing Up, and Good Society, but main campaigns stuck to D&D except for the 2022 season A Starstruck Odyssey, which employed SW5E, a Star Wars adaptation of D&D 5E ruleset. The core cast includes game master Brennan Lee Mulligan and players Emily Axford, Ally Beardsley, Brian Murphy, Zac Oyama, Siobhan Thompson, and Lou Wilson. City Council of Darkness brings this group to Vampire: The Masquerade, part of the World of Darkness series that also encompasses games like Hunter: The Reckoning and Werewolf: The Apocalypse. The premiere arrives on April 8 via Dropout, ahead of the October Halloween season.
