The listing hints at an enhanced edition for the upcoming console, building on the game's history across multiple platforms since its 2017 launch on 3DS and PS4. The 2019 Nintendo Switch version introduced orchestrated music, bonus plot content, expanded 2D gameplay, and faster battle speeds, though it required graphical compromises to fit the hardware. Additional versions followed for Stadia and others, with fans praising it as one of the best JRPGs ever—one ResetEra commenter called it 'one of the best JRPGs of all-time.'
