Fenavi launches campaign to boost egg consumption

Colombia's poultry sector, through Fenavi, unveiled the national campaign “Con huevos queda mejor” to promote eggs as a versatile daily food. In 2025, the country produced over 19,400 million eggs and reached per capita consumption of 366 units per year.

The National Federation of Poultry Farmers of Colombia (Fenavi) launched the “Con huevos queda mejor” campaign amid rising focus on food security and affordable proteins. The effort aims to reposition eggs beyond breakfast, integrating them into lunches, snacks, dinners, and everyday meals. It shifts from recipe-focused messaging to an emotional appeal on how eggs enhance any dish and fit modern lifestyles. “With this campaign, we seek for Colombians to rediscover the egg as a complete, accessible, and versatile food. The egg is nutritious, practical, and delicious, adapting easily to any time of day and cooking style at home. Because in any dish and occasion, with eggs it turns out better,” stated Gonzalo Moreno, Executive President of Fenavi. In 2025, Colombia exceeded 19,400 million eggs produced, averaging one egg per person daily. Per capita consumption rose from 149 units in 1995 to 366 in 2025, with production growing from 5,582 million to over 19,400 million. The poultry sector spans 676 municipalities, creates 350,000 jobs, and plays a vital role in protein supply, linking rural areas to households and fostering rural development.
