Goldman Sachs India portfolio declines 6 percent in 2026

Goldman Sachs' Indian equity portfolio held through global funds fell 6 percent during the first half of calendar year 2026. The value dropped from 9,014 crore rupees in December 2025 to 8,470 crore rupees as of June 25, 2026. Eight stocks in the holdings posted gains ranging from 20 to 85 percent.

The portfolio included around 46 stocks as of the March 2025 quarter. Eighteen of them declined between 10 and 44 percent through June 25.

Stocks that gained included GNG Electronics, which rose 84 percent to 566 rupees per share. TD Power Systems advanced 79 percent to 1,255 rupees. Inox India climbed 65 percent to 1,873 rupees.

Other gainers were Sai Life Sciences, Pearl Global Industries, Navin Fluorine International, SJS Enterprises and Amber Enterprises India. Goldman Sachs acquired a fresh 4.1 percent stake in Aye Finance during the March 2026 quarter.

Declining holdings included Newgen Software Technologies, which fell 44 percent, and several others that dropped between 24 and 38 percent.
