Leandra Jo Thorpe, 31, faces charges of aggravated battery following an alleged assault in Chubbuck, Idaho. Police responded to the incident around 3 a.m. on June 20 after the victim called for help.
According to court documents, Thorpe arrived uninvited at the victim's home and complained about its condition. The argument escalated when Thorpe mentioned the victim's children, leading to a physical confrontation.
The victim told police that Thorpe grabbed her phone, struck her in the head, and then broke a Corona beer bottle to slash at her. The victim shielded herself but did not fight back, sustaining cuts to her arms, hands, and wrists.
Officers found Thorpe pinned to the ground by a man at the scene. Thorpe denied using the bottle as a weapon and claimed the dispute started over a single question. She was also charged with destruction of a telecommunication instrument.
Thorpe posted a $10,000 bond on June 23 and is scheduled to appear in court on July 2.
