Actress Jane Seymour keeps two closets in her Malibu home filled with custom designer pieces and vintage items from her career.
Seymour began collecting clothes after her experience on the set of Live and Let Die. Director Guy Hamilton rejected the provided Bond girl costumes, leading her to use her own outfits instead. She later secured contract terms to retain wardrobe items from her projects.
Her collection includes period pieces by Karl Lagerfeld for The Sun Also Rises, boots from Dr. Quinn, and Nolan Miller dresses from Crossings. Seymour also used Escada runway samples for a wedding scene in Wedding Crashers when the production could not locate a suitable dress.
She started making and selling her own embroidered and crocheted garments as a young actress to afford pointe shoes. At age 15, she formed a company called Bill Mill to embellish sheer blouses for Cacharel. Seymour has also borrowed samples from Donatella Versace and wore one for revenge dressing after a breakup.
