Jokowi appeared relaxed in a white jacket, long pants, and matching hat as he joined 25 yoga participants on Sunday morning. He sat cross-legged on a brown mat, placed his hands on his thighs, and followed breathing instructions from the instructor.
The president said he often practices yoga because it leaves his body feeling fresher afterward. The brief session occurred spontaneously at Gang Kutai Utara 01, Sumber, Banjarsari, Solo.
Devi Putri, a committee representative, said she did not expect Jokowi to participate. She noted the location was chosen for its green surroundings and comfortable morning air.
