Kathy Rinaldi ha annunciato mercoledì le sue dimissioni da responsabile del tennis femminile della USTA dopo 18 anni nel ruolo. L'ex professionista WTA ha ricevuto tributi da Chris Evert e Danielle Collins per il suo contributo al tennis femminile americano.

Rinaldi ha condiviso la notizia in un post su Instagram intitolato “Un messaggio sincero mentre chiudo questo capitolo”. Ha scritto che il ruolo è stato “una vocazione, un onore e un'opportunità al servizio dello sport”.
