Kent Norberg has confirmed he will remain with Timrå IK until his career concludes. The 59-year-old sports chief made the remarks in a recent podcast interview. He has spent 25 years in the club's sports leadership.
Speaking on the HockeyNews podcast Shoot The Puck, Norberg stated that no other job would prompt him to relocate. "The day it's over in Timrå, then I'm done," he said. He returned to the club after a stint with HV71 and has no plans to move again.
Timrå faces a generational shift after players including Emil Pettersson and Jonathan Dahlén departed. Norberg described the upcoming season as a turning point and said he wants to finish the work of building a new team identity alongside the club's sports council and board.
Despite predictions of a low league standing, Norberg expressed no concern. He stressed that success depends on making the right decisions with available resources rather than having the largest budget.
