Indonesia's Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) raided the residence of West Java DPRD Deputy Chairman Ono Surono on Wednesday afternoon, April 1, 2026. The search took place at Jalan Jati Indah V, Batununggal District, Bandung City. It relates to an investigation into alleged bribery for projects in Bekasi Regency government, implicating former Regent Ade Kuswara Kunang.

KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo confirmed the raid but has not disclosed findings. Ono's lawyer, Sahali, said they respect the legal process but noted irregularities, including a request to turn off CCTV and failure to show a search warrant from the Chief of the District Court as required by Article 114 paragraph (1) of the KUHAP.

The search yielded no evidence linked to the case, according to Sahali. Investigators seized a laptop and money from the wife's arisan savings. The legal team lodged objections in the examination minutes and urged respect for the presumption of innocence.

Ono Surono was attending organizational consolidation in Garut and Tasikmalaya during the raid. He had previously been questioned at KPK's Gedung Merah Putih about fund flows.
