Il giudice di Catarroja ha aggiunto al fascicolo i messaggi WhatsApp scambiati tra l'ex presidente della Generalitat Valenciana Carlos Mazón e il sindaco di Valencia María José Catalá la notte dell'alluvione del 29 ottobre 2024 causata dalla DANA.

Secondo i messaggi consegnati da Catalá al tribunale, Mazón scrisse alle 23:20: “Ci saranno molti morti”. Un'ora prima, il sindaco aveva offerto l'aiuto del comando della polizia locale di Valencia.

Mazón rispose alle 23:27: “Di sicuro già decine”. L'ex presidente si trovava allora presso il Cecopi a L’Eliana e lasciò il centro un'ora e mezza dopo l'invio dell'allerta di massa ES-Alert.

Catalá ha testimoniato questa settimana davanti al magistrato Nuria Ruiz Tobarra e ha autorizzato l'inclusione dei messaggi nell'indagine sull'alluvione che ha provocato 230 morti.
