Ministry opens tax support office at Eastern Industrial Park

The Ministry of Revenues has opened an office at the Eastern Industrial Park to deliver efficient and transparent tax services to manufacturers.

The Ministry of Revenues opened the office today at the Eastern Industrial Park in Addis Ababa. State Minister Meskerem Debebe said the facility is intended to provide support and monitoring rather than enforcement. She added that the country attracted 13 billion dollars in foreign investment in the current budget year, drawing many manufacturers into operations.

Shi Yang, deputy general manager of the Eastern Industrial Park, noted that the office’s proximity will improve manufacturers’ productivity. The office will also build legal awareness to help investors comply with regulations.
