The Nagreg route in Bandung Regency, linking Bandung to Garut and Tasikmalaya, remains crowded with vehicles as of Sunday at 19:00 WIB. Density begins at the steep Cikaledong descent and queues up to Cagak Nagreg toward Garut and Tasikmalaya.
The Nagreg route in Bandung Regency is monitored as still crowded with vehicles on Sunday at 19:00 WIB. Density starts from the beginning of the steep Cikaledong descent after the level rail crossing, queuing to Cagak Nagreg toward Garut and Tasikmalaya. At Pospam Cikaledong, the queue to Tasikmalaya via Limbangan remains backed up. According to Bandung Regency Transportation Agency (Dishub) data up to 18:00 WIB, 107,454 vehicles passed toward Garut or Tasikmalaya, while 80,192 vehicles traveled the opposite direction to Bandung. Eric Alam Prabowo, Head of Transportation Development at Dishub Bandung Regency, said density began in the evening, signaling ongoing local homecoming traffic mixed with tourism flows, with main obstacles at Limbangan (to Tasikmalaya) and Kadungora (to Garut). He stated, “As predicted, this density occurs because there is still homecoming traffic, mostly local, mixed with tourism, resulting in traffic density due to obstacles at Limbangan (Tasikmalaya direction) and Kadungora (Garut city direction).” Density is also driven by return traffic from Garut and Tasikmalaya to Bandung. Eric could not confirm if Sunday's total would exceed the H-2 Lebaran 2026 peak of 150,716 vehicles over 24 hours. Dishub urges travelers to heighten vigilance due to extreme weather and the route's hilly terrain with steep climbs and descents.”
