Swiss sportswear brand On has unveiled the second generation of its Cloudboom Elite racing lineup. The Cloudboom Strike 2 and LightSpray Cloudboom Strike 2 introduce new cushioning and production technologies.
The shoes feature CloudTec Sphere cushioning and a redesigned Helion HF midsole that reduces weight by 15 percent. A curved carbon Speedboard provides forward propulsion.
The LightSpray Cloudboom Strike 2 uses automated robotic spraying to create a seamless upper. A University of Cape Town study found the model improves running economy by 1.6 percent over industry benchmarks.
Elite athletes have already used the shoes to set personal records, including Hellen Obiri in London and Joe Klecker in Boston. The shoes are scheduled to launch globally on July 30, 2026.
