Papa Johns Chile announced the appointment of Tomás Lyon as its new general manager, replacing Diego Hurtado. The company operates 172 stores and plans to open 16 more this year.
The pizza chain announced that Lyon will take the role to lead an expansion plan that includes opening 16 new stores and creating 300 jobs during 2026. The company, which employs about 4,000 people from Arica to Punta Arenas, is part of FENT Global.
Lyon has more than 22 years of experience in mass consumption. He has worked at Softys, Kraft Foods, LG Electronics and Mondelez International, where he led operations in Chile and Latin America. He is a commercial engineer from Universidad de los Andes, holds an MBA from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and completed a program at Harvard University.
In a statement, Lyon said: “Papa Johns has built a unique position in Chile and has an extraordinary opportunity to continue growing”. As a first step, he will visit stores in different regions to get to know the operation closely.
In the last 12 months the company added 15 stores to its regional network, which includes Spain, Portugal, Costa Rica, Guatemala and Panama.
