Pennsylvania parents charged with assaulting 4-month-old son

A Pennsylvania couple has been charged with multiple counts of assault and child endangerment after their infant son was hospitalized with bruises and a split lip. Police say the parents admitted to using excessive force on the 4-month-old boy.

Jessica Oster, 26, and her husband James Oster face charges including aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of children. The allegations stem from an incident reported on April 22, 2026, when UPMC Lititz Hospital contacted Northern Lancaster County Regional Police about suspicious injuries to the baby.
