Prime minister abiy hopes ethiopia-djibouti ties bolster regional peace

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed expressed hope that the strategic partnership between Ethiopia and Djibouti will strengthen peace and stability in the region. He made the remarks while attending the inauguration ceremony of Djibouti President Ismail Omar Guelleh.

In a social media post the prime minister highlighted the long-standing friendship and strategic partnership between the two nations. He said he hopes it will serve as a foundation for the common prosperity of their peoples as well as stronger peace and stability across the region.

Abiy also conveyed his best wishes to President Guelleh for continued comprehensive development in Djibouti.

The remarks came after the prime minister attended the president’s inauguration ceremony with the statement issued from Addis Ababa.
