Addis Ababa, Katit 11, 2018 (EFM C) - Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (Dr.) inspected development works in Wellega and stated that the Wellega people are a community filled with love and peace-loving.

"The Wellega people are filled with love and peace-loving," the Prime Minister said. He noted that the works observed in the three Wellega zones are promising and pleasing.

Describing Wellega as a land radiating with high joy today, he added, "We will protect our development and our peace." He elaborated that even if enemies are present, the Wellega people's hearts are ready to forgive and their hands are extended.

The Wellega people, who value education, knowledge, and work, sought peace at the time, he stated. Development works in the area have started from recent times, according to him. "Let us unite, work, contribute jointly to the country's development, and strengthen our people's unity," he said.

Instead of quarreling, fighting, or one chasing the other, they should jointly build development, he emphasized. It is necessary to avoid divisions and weaknesses that enemies from afar seek to exploit, he noted, and to continue the good journey that has begun with pride.
