Rivera administration manages over 36 billion pesos in two years

Rivera's municipal administration presented its management balance for 2024-2025, consolidating over 36.052 billion pesos in executed, ongoing, and viable resources. The report highlights advances in infrastructure, security, and rural development led by Mayor Luis Humberto Alvarado Guzmán.

Rivera's Municipal Administration delivered an official report this month on its achievements in 2024 and 2025, reaching a total of $36.052.033.388 in managed resources. Of this amount, $12.683 million were executed, $6.866 million are underway, and $8.502 million have financial viability.

In infrastructure, $4.000 million were managed for 50 priority interest housing units and $1.500 million for 100 housing improvements. Projects like the placa huella in La Ulloa and Riverita total $1.800 million. Additionally, the municipal intake advances with $2.110 million handled by Aguas del Huila, and the Lisboa aqueduct incorporates photovoltaic energy for $3.366 million.

In paving, the 100% goal of the Development Plan was exceeded, with over 1,150 linear meters in the second year. Efforts with the DPS and Huila Governor's Office secure an additional 2 km in La Cabañita and 1.4 km in Los Miradores, La Ulloa, and Riverita, for more than $5.800 million. Another key project is the paving of main streets (third, fourth, fifth, and first), including irrigation canalization, with $8.000 million approved alongside Governor Rodrigo Villalba Mosquera.

In security, flagrante arrests rose 15%, drug seizures 200%, vehicle recoveries 45%, and merchandise recoveries 8%. An equipped classroom for cacao processing was delivered in El Guadual for $191.688.434, benefiting 360 rural students.

After 15 years, machinery was acquired for $3.489 million, including a motor grader, vibratory compactor, backhoe, and dump truck. The Children's Sanjuanero Huilense Festival drew thousands, with 14,000 daily attendees and 85% hotel occupancy.

For 2026, the Facade Plan begins, along with construction of the 50 VIP units, completion of the municipal intake, and phase 2 fencing of Río Frío School, reinforcing commitment to municipal development.
