A 20-year-old Texas man faces multiple charges in Arkansas after allegedly grooming and threatening a 10-year-old girl he contacted through TikTok.
Raymond Oscar Harlen was arrested on June 17 in Johnston County, Texas, and extradited to Miller County, Arkansas. He is detained in the Miller County Detention Center on $500,000 bail.
The victim's mother contacted authorities on May 18 after her daughter received messages on her phone from an unknown man. The exchanges began after Harlen commented on the girl's TikTok posts, according to the Miller County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities say the conversations turned explicit after a game of truth or dare. Harlen allegedly sent images of firearms and a threatening video, including a message stating he had found the girl's location.
Harlen faces charges including sexual grooming of a child, sexual extortion, and terroristic threatening in the first degree.
