Deputy home minister ribka praises strategic papua conference

Deputy Home Minister Ribka Haluk praised the third Strategic Papua Analysis Conference held in Jayapura. The forum was deemed vital for strengthening development rooted in local wisdom.

Ribka Haluk stated that the conference served as a collective reflection space to discuss dignified development hopes for Papua that favor indigenous Papuans. She also conveyed greetings from Home Minister Muhammad Tito Karnavian to the organizers.

In her speech at the Papua Youth Creative Hub on Friday 29 May 2026, Ribka stressed the need to preserve Papuan identity amid modernization toward Indonesia Emas 2045. Development must involve indigenous communities and respect local values.

The event was attended by several officials including Deputy Human Rights Minister Mugiyanto and several regional heads from West Java.
