Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar emphasized pushing for a second round of US-Iran talks, with both sides viewing dialogue as the best way to reduce tensions and pave the way for a broader settlement.
Abdelatty expressed Egypt’s full solidarity with Kuwait following a recent drone attack on northern border sites, stating that Gulf security is integral to Egypt’s national security and highlighting risks to international navigation and energy corridors. Talks with Brazil’s Mauro Vieira and Canada’s Anita Anand covered bilateral ties and regional issues, with Egypt reiterating support for renewed US-Iran negotiations.
On the Palestinian issue, Egypt called for advancing the second phase of the US plan, ensuring humanitarian aid reaches Gaza, and rejecting Israeli violations in the West Bank. International partners praised Cairo’s diplomatic role in containing tensions and pursuing peace.
