Today, Bercault unites nearly the entire left: the French Communist Party, Socialist Party, Place publique, Les Ecologistes, Génération.s, and the Left Radical Party. During the press presentation of these supports in early December 2025, he called this gathering « unprecedented from the first round of Laval's municipals ». In 2020, the two divided left lists finished behind divers centre candidate Didier Pillon's list.

Opposing him is Samia Soultani-Vigneron for the right and center, alongside a Lutte ouvrière list. Candidacies from the insoumis and Rassemblement national remain pending one month before the vote.
