The multiple homicide took place around 3:00 a.m. on April 28 in a home on Begonias street in Nueva Santa María, Azcapotzalco. The victims were a 47-year-old couple and their daughters aged 12 and 16, found with sharp weapon wounds. Neighbors reported unusual noises and said the family was well-known locally with no prior conflicts.
The Mexico City Public Security Secretariat (SSC) reported that the attackers stole valuables and two high-end trucks. A banner with a message signed by La Unión Tepito was found at the scene, but authorities suspect it may be an attempt to mislead the probe.
On April 30, the SSC announced the arrest of four suspects in Mexico State: Emiliano ‘N’, 20, ex-boyfriend of the 16-year-old daughter; María de Jesús ‘N’, 24; José María ‘N’, 21; and Francisco Javier ‘N’, 36. They were located in Tlanepantla de Baz and Atizapán de Zaragoza driving a stolen truck.
Emiliano ‘N’, alleged mastermind, fired at police when cornered at a hotel, wounding officers who returned fire and captured him injured. Authorities seized short firearms, ammunition, and 95 doses of marijuana and cocaine. The group belongs to a robbery and drug trafficking cell operating in Mexico State and bordering areas, and were turned over to Mexico State's Special Affairs Prosecutor's Office.
