Government uses projects to attract UDA votes in Ol Kalou

The UDA party led by President William Ruto is using development projects to attract voters in the Ol Kalou parliamentary by-election scheduled for July 16.

Senior government officials have been launching various development projects in the area. Lands Minister Alice Wahome and Tourism Minister Rebecca Miano are among the leaders who have visited Ol Kalou.

Last weekend Wahome led other officials to open the Nyandarua land office and issue 2700 title deeds. Wahome described the move as historic because it brings services closer to citizens.

On June 2 Miano opened the Ol Kalou railway station. Gatanga MP Edward Muriu has criticised the strategy saying projects will not sway voters.
