The Hoy No Circula program operates normally this Thursday, March 19, in the Metropolitan Zone of the Valley of Mexico, aiming to reduce air pollution and improve environmental quality, according to the Megalopolis Environmental Commission (CAMe). The restriction covers the 16 boroughs of Mexico City (CDMX) and 18 bordering municipalities in the State of Mexico (Edomex): Atizapán de Zaragoza, Coacalco de Berriozábal, Cuautitlán, Cuautitlán Izcalli, Chalco, Chicoloapan, Chimalhuacán, Ecatepec, Huixquilucan, Ixtapaluca, La Paz, Naucalpan de Juárez, Nezahualcóyotl, Nicolás Romero, Tecámac, Tlalnepantla de Baz, Tultitlán, and Valle de Chalco. Fines apply for violations in these areas from 5:00 to 22:00. Affected vehicles are private cars with green stickers and plate endings 1 and 2, holding verification holograms 1 and 2. Foreign vehicles with these features are also restricted. Exceptions for holograms 00 and 0, which circulate daily.
