The Hoy No Circula vehicle restriction will be in effect on Saturday, June 13, from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. in Mexico City and municipalities in the State of Mexico.
Vehicles with hologram 1 and even-numbered plates (2, 4, 6, 8 and 0) will not be allowed to circulate. Cars with hologram 2, regardless of the final plate digit, and foreign vehicles will also be restricted.
The Environmental Commission of the Megalopolis (CAMe) stated that the measure aims to reduce air pollution in the Metropolitan Area of the Valley of Mexico. Exceptions apply only to holograms 00 and 0.
The restriction covers all 16 boroughs of Mexico City and 18 municipalities in the State of Mexico, including Atizapán de Zaragoza, Ecatepec, Naucalpan de Juárez and Tlalnepantla de Baz.
