The Lagos State Police Command has begun investigating the shooting of Adedipe Adeyinkan, known as “Agali,” on April 11, 2026, at about 11:30 p.m. on National Stadium Bridge inward Iponri. The command stated on its official X page that investigations are underway following reports of the incident.
The Lagos State Police Command posted late on its official X page that it is aware of the shooting incident involving Adedipe Adeyinkan, popularly known as “Agali,” which took place on April 11, 2026, at about 11:30 p.m. on National Stadium Bridge inward Iponri. The victim was rushed to Mainland General Hospital in Yaba, where he was confirmed dead.
"Investigation is ongoing to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident," the command stated.
Vanguard correspondent Efe Onodjae witnessed a white car and a black car at the scene around 11:52 p.m., surrounded by uniformed police officers, with the site initially appearing like an accident. Reports on social media allege that the deceased was a prominent figure in the Buccaneers confraternity in the Surulere area.
The police provided no further details.
