Nairobi expressway offers temporary toll-free night access

Motorists between Nairobi's Central Business District and Westlands can use the Nairobi Expressway toll-free for two nights due to ongoing construction on Waiyaki Way.

The Moja Expressway Company announced the toll-free arrangement on Thursday, May 7. It applies specifically to vehicles entering via the Haile Selassie Entrance near Bunyala Roundabout and exiting at the Nairobi Westlands exit.

The measure runs from 9pm to 6am on both Thursday and Friday nights. All other toll stations on the Expressway continue to charge normal fees.

The company stated the change aims to ease disruptions from construction works between GTC and the ICEA Lion area on Waiyaki Way. Motorists were urged to follow signage and work with deployed traffic marshals.
