Motoristas que transitam entre o Distrito Central de Negócios de Nairóbi e Westlands poderão utilizar a via expressa de Nairóbi sem custo durante duas noites devido às obras em andamento na Waiyaki Way.

A Moja Expressway Company anunciou a isenção de pedágio na quinta-feira, 7 de maio. A medida se aplica especificamente a veículos que acessam a via pela entrada Haile Selassie, perto da rotatória de Bunyala, e saem na saída Nairobi Westlands. A medida vale das 21h às 6h nas noites de quinta e sexta-feira. Todas as outras praças de pedágio da via expressa continuam com a cobrança de taxas normais. A empresa declarou que a mudança visa amenizar os transtornos causados por obras entre o GTC e a área da ICEA Lion na Waiyaki Way. Os motoristas foram orientados a seguir a sinalização e colaborar com os agentes de trânsito alocados no local.
