グラント郡地方裁判所のジェームズ・フォイ判事は、第2級殺人罪2件のそれぞれに対し15年、さらに加重放火罪に対して9年の刑を言い渡した。これらの刑は連続して執行されることとなり、被告は刑期の少なくとも85パーセントを服役しなければ仮釈放の資格を得られない。
