New nature playground opens in Gottsundagipen

A new nature playground has opened in the northern part of Gottsundagipen in Uppsala. The playground is the first step in developing the area based on ideas from residents and preschools.

The playground is adapted to the site with sand play, a play kitchen, climbing opportunities and a zip line. The forest edge and a natural ditch have been integrated into the play area for children of different ages.

Visitors can explore a nature trail with information about plants and animals or a troll path created together with Biotopia. A pavilion is available for gatherings and the area offers picnic tables, wind shelters and barbecue spots.

The nature playground is part of Uppsala Municipality's climate work to become climate neutral by 2030 through increased greenery and better rainwater management.
