One Directionの元メンバーであるNiall Horanは、2026年2月26日に自身のソーシャルアカウントに投稿し、「Album is DONE.」と宣言しました。更新には一連の写真と2つの短いオーディオスニペットが含まれ、穏やかなアコースティックギターのものとピアノに手を置いた彼の姿を示すものがもう一つです。この今後のリリースは、休止を発表した後の2023年のThe Showに続くHoranの4枚目のソロアルバムとなります。 Horanは今年いっぱい新曲を予告してきました。1月22日にはスタジオ時間を確認する動画を共有し、1月14日にはミュージシャンたちとマイクの前の自分の映像を投稿し、ファンのアルバムに関する質問に「Just a little more time.」と重ねて返答しました。Fleur Eastが司会を務めるHits Radio Breakfast ShowでHoranは、「I’m in here finishing it right now… So I’m in the beat lab. I’m just finishing off some vocal bits and things like that, that I wasn’t happy with, but yeah… I should have music sometime this year. And I’m very excited about it!」と語りました。アルバムは2026年後半に期待されています。 最近、HoranはMyles Smithと「Drive Safe」でコラボし、今月始めにリリースされました。昨秋にはThomas Rhettの「Old Tricks」の新バージョンにフィーチャーされ、「It came on and I was instantly hooked… I told Thomas Rhett straight up I was gutted he didn’t ask me to jump on it. I just loved everything about it, it’s a proper country song.」と説明しました。2023年には2020年のアルバムHeartbreak Weatherの5周年を記念して未発表曲「Dress」と「Nothing」、およびライブ録音を公開し、「I can’t thank you enough for the love and support you’ve continued to show for this album all these years later.」と述べました。 2023年のHot Pressインタビューでルーツを振り返ったHoranは、アイルランドの故郷Mullingarについて語りました：「Every time I go back I’m like, ‘Thank God I grew up here.’ … Having travelled the world, I now realise, years later, how lucky we were to have an Irish upbringing. It’s the best upbringing you can ask for.」
