Tractor race drew 4000 people in Harbo

About 4000 spectators gathered in Harbo on Saturday to watch the tractor race. Jonathan Johansson, 15, was the youngest participant.

The competition was arranged by Östervåla-Harbo LRF as an annual folk festival. Sixteen drivers competed two by two on a track about 50 meters long.

Participants drove slalom both forward and backward with trailers on their tractors. Anyone who knocked over a cone had to set it up again before continuing the race.

All drivers received 1000 kronor. The winner was awarded 6000 kronor. Jonathan Johansson described the feeling before the start as nervous and terrible.
