A 60-year-old woman died Friday after falling from the fourth floor of an Adoma residence in Nancy. Her companion, known for domestic violence, was placed in custody then released Saturday afternoon.
Emergency services took charge of the victim Friday afternoon. She was in cardiorespiratory arrest and suffered multiple traumas after the fall. Firefighters revived her before transfer to hospital, where she died.
An investigation has been opened. Nancy's public prosecutor François Capin-Dulhoste said the circumstances of the death remain to be clarified. The companion was arrested and placed in custody before the measure was lifted Saturday afternoon.
Investigations continue. An autopsy will be carried out.
