Bright Eyes opened their 21st anniversary tour by playing two classic albums in their entirety at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on May 12. The Colorado concert marked the first of three special shows celebrating the records.
The indie band performed 'I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning' and 'Digital Ash in a Digital Urn' in full chronological order. Songs including 'Time Code', 'Devil in the Details' and 'Theme from Pinata' returned to the stage for the first time in two decades, while 'Arc of Time (Time Code)' had not been played since 2011. Ben Kweller joined for the encore, which featured an instrumental 'America the Beautiful' accompanied by an anti-ICE projection on screen.
