Graham Coxon to release unreleased 2011 album Castle Park

Graham Coxon, guitarist for Blur and The Waeve, has announced the release of his previously unreleased 2011 album Castle Park alongside reissues of his early solo records. The album, produced by Ben Hillier, will launch on June 19 with lead single Billy Says. He will also play a one-off full-band solo show in London this November.

Graham Coxon revealed plans to release Castle Park, a 10-track album recorded in 2011 during sessions for his solo album A+E. Originally intended as a follow-up to his eighth solo LP, the project was shelved after Blur's reunion and Coxon's shift to other work. The lead single, Billy Says, draws on a classic Mod sound reminiscent of The Kinks, featuring Coxon's signature guitar-pop hooks. It has appeared in his live sets previously. The tracklisting includes Billy Says, Alright, When You Find Out, Isn’t It Funny, There’s a Little House, Easy, Dripping Soul, Forget Today, Mélodie Pour Chris’tine and All The Rage. Castle Park arrives June 19 on CD, LP, black and coloured vinyl, each with exclusive postcards designed by Coxon. That date also marks reissues of his debut The Sky Is Too High from 1998 and 2000's The Golden D. Over the next 12 months, all nine solo studio albums, plus soundtracks, will follow, including Crow Sit On Blood Tree, The Kiss Of Morning, Happiness In Magazines, Love Travels At Illegal Speeds, The Spinning Top and A+E. Soundtracks for The End of The F***ing World seasons one and two, and the graphic novel Superstate, are included. Coxon performs his first full-band solo show in a decade at The O2 Forum Kentish Town on November 28, celebrating his solo career. Tickets go on general sale at 9am on Friday.
