Graham Coxon va sortir son album inédit de 2011, Castle Park

Graham Coxon, guitariste de Blur et de The Waeve, a annoncé la sortie de son album inédit de 2011, Castle Park, parallèlement aux rééditions de ses premiers albums solo. L'album, produit par Ben Hillier, sera disponible le 19 juin avec le premier single Billy Says. Il donnera également un concert solo unique accompagné de son groupe à Londres en novembre prochain.

Graham Coxon a dévoilé ses projets pour la sortie de Castle Park, un album de 10 titres enregistré en 2011 lors des sessions de son album solo A+E. Initialement prévu comme la suite de son huitième opus solo, le projet avait été mis de côté après la reformation de Blur et le passage de Coxon à d'autres activités. Le premier single, Billy Says, s'inspire d'un son Mod classique rappelant The Kinks, avec les accroches guitare-pop caractéristiques de Coxon. Le morceau est déjà apparu lors de ses concerts par le passé. La liste des titres comprend Billy Says, Alright, When You Find Out, Isn’t It Funny, There’s a Little House, Easy, Dripping Soul, Forget Today, Mélodie Pour Chris’tine et All The Rage. Castle Park sortira le 19 juin en CD, LP, vinyle noir et vinyle couleur, chacun accompagné de cartes postales exclusives conçues par Coxon. Cette date marquera également la réédition de ses premiers albums The Sky Is Too High de 1998 et The Golden D de 2000. Au cours des 12 prochains mois, l'ensemble de ses neuf albums studio solo, ainsi que ses bandes originales, suivront, notamment Crow Sit On Blood Tree, The Kiss Of Morning, Happiness In Magazines, Love Travels At Illegal Speeds, The Spinning Top et A+E. Les bandes originales des saisons 1 et 2 de The End of The F***ing World, ainsi que celle du roman graphique Superstate, sont incluses. Coxon donnera son premier concert solo avec groupe complet depuis dix ans au O2 Forum Kentish Town le 28 novembre, célébrant ainsi sa carrière solo. Les billets seront mis en vente générale vendredi à 9 heures.
