Haruomi Hosono details new album Yours Sincerely

Haruomi Hosono has announced details for his 23rd studio album, Yours Sincerely. The 78-year-old Yellow Magic Orchestra co-founder will release the record on September 11 via Ghostly International.

Haruomi Hosono explained the album title draws from the Japanese concept of omoiyari. “Its original meaning is ‘to suffer together,’” he said in a statement. “In Japanese, omoiyari also includes the feeling of ‘rejoicing together.’ In that sense, it may even seem like the opposite.”
